SEMINAR AND NETWORKING EVENT Event Summary
What do you do when your carefully managed reputation is left in ruins after a false story or private, sensitive information is published to a global audience? The Internet is a growing threat to corporate and individual reputations. One of the most powerful aspects of the Internet is its capacity to allow anyone with a computer to become a publisher. Yet, with more than 1.46 billion people worldwide using the Internet and reading the work of “citizen publishers,” businesses and individuals may increasingly find themselves the victims of leaked private and confidential information as well as of false or inaccurate stories and allegations, that are credited and repeated because they are “published.” The financial consequences of a damaged reputation can be long lasting. Businesses suffer globally in all the markets in which they operate, as negative or inaccurate stories are published and read on the Internet. Additionally, the speed with which news and comment spread across the Web means that the damage to a reputation is felt across the globe more quickly than ever possible before. During the course of the program, a panel of leading experts in protecting and restoring reputations will debate and discuss the global nature of the Internet, including the role of overseas publications, changes in the media landscape, the importance of intelligence gathering and the need for credible due diligence, as well as global restoration and vindication of reputations. This is a free event, but places are limited. Please select the location of your choice below to register, or follow one of these links for further information: Location Selection
